It’s time to get a job in the tech industry it seems.
In tech-related jobs, not only employees are highly sought after, they are raking in chubbier bonuses too.
According to data from specialist technology recruiter Greythorn, it is hitting with £6681 as the average bonus in the sector, which is more than four times more than the national average of £1500.
Making the full payout £62,356, of which Greythorn put £55,675 a year, the sum represents 12% of the average salary.
The company said, in whole, this year tech professionals pooled a bonus pot of £3.25 billion.
Michael Moretti, senior manager at Greythorn said, as compared with the likes of banking the figures persist relatively modest, where EU instructs to limit bonuses at twice fixed salaries, they will only head higher.
“Given the finite number of talented candidates available and the continued growth of the industry, we expect fully that remuneration will last to grow as UK tech goes from strength to strength.”
He added more, “The sector has performed particularly well in the South East and London, where revolutionary and exciting fields like FinTech have been instrumental in cementing the UK’s position as a centre of innovation, and maintaining the capital’s pre-eminence in the global economy”.
The data also shows that anyone switching jobs tends to look for a 15% salary increase, while anyone luckily enough to get a raise will typically get another £2784 a year.
