Apple Pay will now let travellers to pay for Tube journeys through iPhone and Apple Watch
Now commuters with Apple Watch or iPhone will no longer use contactless bank card or Oyster card to pay for Tube rides.
There’s a new contactless payment launched in UK, Apple Pay that lets patrons to pay for their London Tube trips, as well as payments in stores and over apps, by merely touching their device against a contactless payment pad.
From its launch day, Apple pay allows Mastercard, Visa and American Express by Natwest, Santander, Royal Bank of Scotland, Nationwide, Ulster Bank, MBNA and all to be used.
To make a payment, those with Apple Watch, double click the side button and hold the face up to a contactless reader to make a payment, whereas iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus users can authenticate themselves over the Touch ID feature.
