Abbey Road Studios launches Europe’s first music tech start-up incubator

By initiating a scheme to support music tech start-ups, London’s momentous Abbey Road studios has is examining profoundly in the prospect of music.

Abbey Road Red, set up in August, is owed as the only music tech start-up incubator in Europe.

It is open to academics carrying out for music, as well as research young companies generating innovative technologies in the same field.

The recording studio, which is 84-year-old and also has played host to music greats from Edward Elgar to the Beatles to Adele, will deliver mentorship, advice and a testing ground for products.

Participants in the Red programme will also help to reach possible customers and have access to the facilities inside the Georgian townhouse.

According to the FT, Abbey Road will get a 1% or 2% equity stake in the companies in return.

Abbey Road itself is possessed by Universal Music.

Titan Reality was the first business to join the incubator, which is also developing advanced musical instruments and interfaces using patented 3D sensing technologies.

After doing four years of investigation and development, it is now on the edge of beginning hardware and software products.
